General Terms and Conditions
- When ordering, delivering and collecting orders via balkan-shop.nl (the “Webshop”) or via house-of-slivovitz.com (the “Website”), the following conditions apply: Terms and Conditions apply.
- These general terms and conditions also apply to customers acting in the exercise of a profession or business.
- The applicability of the buyer’s general terms and conditions is expressly rejected.
- By placing an order you agree to these General Terms and Conditions.
PRIVACY & SECURITY

- Placing orders in the Webshop is only possible if you create an account on the Website. In order to create your account and provide the functionalities, we process certain personal data from you, including your email address and your password. This allows you to continue using your account and we ensure that you can log in safely. You can view all the information you have provided to us online in one place under “My account” on the Website. This information is personal and we ask you to treat it confidentially, in particular by using your email address and password exclusively for your own use and only storing them on your own computer.
- We will do our best to ensure as much as possible that the Website is virus-free, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee this. The Website contains links to third party websites. We select the websites referred to as carefully as possible. However, we cannot guarantee the content and functioning of third-party websites.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
All intellectual property rights relating to the Website, including those relating to the software, texts, images and sounds, belong to House of Slivovitz B.V. and/or from those from whom we have obtained a license. This means, among other things, that it is not permitted to publish, reproduce and/or edit the information contained on the Website without our permission, except for personal use.
AGE LIMIT
When you visit the Website, you must first enter your age (the so-called age check) before you are allowed onto the Website. If you place an order with us via the Webshop, you must first create an account with an email address and password, with which you can easily log in from now on. When delivering the order, the delivery person will ask for identification if there is any doubt about the age of the person to whom the order is being delivered. The age verification applies up to at least 25 years of age. Valid proof of identity includes a national passport and a European identity card. If the minimum age requirement is not met, our delivery person will unfortunately be forced to take the order back or not deliver it. If the order cannot be delivered because it could not be determined that the age requirement has been met, cancellation costs of EUR 10.00 will be charged. The reason is that we want to discourage minors from trying to place orders.
PRICES AND PROMOTIONS
- The following applies to the promotions listed on the Website: SOLD OUT.
- House of Slivovitz B.V. reserves the right to change promotion conditions at any time and to terminate promotions prematurely.
DIGITAL MARKETING AND SOCIAL MEDIA
The content of Facebook, Instagrams and emails is only intended for people aged 18 and older. By liking the Facebook account, following the Instagram account or subscribing to the emailings you confirm that you are 18 years or older. Nothing may be forwarded to or otherwise made available to persons under the age of 18.
DELIVERY OF YOUR ORDER
- If you place an order in the House of Slivovitz B.V. Webshop, the delivery service will ensure the delivery of the items to the delivery address in the Netherlands.
- Delivery:
- You can see which delivery terms and times apply to your order via the order screens in the Webshop. Every effort is made to meet these delivery times and times, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee the delivery times. You cannot therefore contact us for late delivery.
- We request that you be present at the agreed delivery time to receive the order. If there is any doubt about the required age, the delivery drivers will ask for identification. If the minimum age requirement (18 years) is not met, our delivery person will unfortunately be forced to take the order back. The order will be canceled and a cancellation fee of EUR 10.00 will be charged.
- The delivery people will ask you to sign for receipt of the order.
- If you are not present at the agreed delivery time, the deliverers will try to deliver the order to the neighbors. The order will only be delivered to the neighbors if the receiving person is 18 years or older. If delivery to neighbors is also not possible, the delivery person will leave a message in the recipient’s mailbox and present the order again the next day (except Sunday and Monday). If the second delivery attempt (via identical procedure) is not successful, the order will be returned to our distribution center. The customer will be reimbursed for the order amount minus shipping costs (6.95 euros) and any transaction costs.
- In principle, it is not possible to cancel an order (via the Webshop) after the order has been confirmed by us (receipt of order confirmation via email). Depending on the day and time, cancellation may still be possible by contacting Customer Service (06 1280 7568).
RETURNS
- If you do not want certain products within 14 days of receiving the order, you can return them to us. To this end, you must contact our Customer Service (06 1280 7568), who will then explain the return process and applicable conditions to you in more detail. Returns will only be accepted if the original packaging and contents, including the label of the product, are undamaged. The costs for returns are at your expense.
- Orders received must be checked immediately for visible defects. If any (visible and invisible) defects are found, you must contact our Customer Service (06 1280 7568) after discovering those defects, who will further explain the return process and the applicable conditions to you. You can return the defective products to a free shipping number. We request that you add a print of the email in which our Customer Service confirms the return to the return package, so that everything can be processed correctly administratively by House of Slivovitz B.V. We recommend that you keep the shipping receipt for your own administration.
- In the event of breakage or incorrectly delivered items, you can choose to be credited for the amount of the item in question or have the product resent. In the event of breakage, we will only do this if the breakage is reported no later than the next working day following the day of delivery. We therefore expect you to check the delivered package for breakage immediately upon receipt. Redirection by Customer Service is only possible if the product is in stock.
- Adjustment of the amount to be paid or return of the amount already paid is done as follows:
- iDeal: Within a week after receipt of your return shipment, the money will be refunded to your account. If an item cannot be returned due to, for example, breakage, House of Slivovitz will refund the relevant return amount to your account within one week after reporting the defect to Customer Service.
- Credit Card: The money will be automatically refunded to your credit card account within 7 days of receiving your return.
OTHER
- Our products are intended for end users and you are not intended to resell them. We therefore reserve the right not to deliver orders if in doubt or to impose a maximum on the quantities of certain items that can be ordered.
- Although the Website has been created with the greatest care, it may happen that product characteristics (price, appearance, allergen listing, product information, supplier information, alcohol percentage, volume) are not displayed or depicted correctly. In that case, the characteristics shown on the packaging of the product itself apply and you cannot claim delivery on the basis of incorrectly displayed information. In addition, changes in price and/or range and printing errors in the digital leaflet brochure are reserved.
- The information on the Website is adjusted from time to time. If you find any errors on the Website, we would greatly appreciate you reporting them to us via our Customer Service (06 1280 7568, info@house-of-slivovitz.com).
MODIFICATION AND OTHER APPLICABLE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We may change these General Terms and Conditions. The amended conditions will take effect as soon as you place a new order with us. You thereby indicate that you agree to the amended terms and conditions.
